A Kickstarter fund has been started to help the creation and distribution of a new film, The History of Industrial Music: The Chicago Way – A documentary about the rise of the industrial music scene in Chicago in the mid-late 1980’s that changed the underground forever. Based in Chicago the film documents the underground style of music that spread throughout clubs and airwaves globally.
The film chronicles those that made the birth of American Industrial music happen and features appearances by Al Jourgensen, Buzz McCoy, Jim Marcus, En Esch, Charles Levi, Martin Atkins, Reid Hyams, Joe Shanahan, Jason Novak, Steve Silver, and many more. The story set to be released on Blu-ray and DVD revisits the bands, clubs, studios, and people that made Chicago the epicenter of this new music scene.
Help back this project! The first round of funding has been raised privately but more is needed to see this film finished. Visit the The History of Industrial Music: The Chicago Way Kickstarter page to learn more.
