To celebrate the passing of 2015 and a new year of new music, new record label, new projects, and new shows — Attrition is presenting fans with a free gift: In Dark Dreams: 1980 – 2015, a 30 track collection that spans 35 years of music.
The collection includes many unreleased takes and alternate versions of classic songs compiled by founder Martin Bowes and traces the many styles and twists and turns in the band’s work over the decades.
Attrition are pioneers in a darker electronica. Formed in 1980 by Martin Bowes and Julia Waller in Coventry, England, influenced by a mix of punk ideology and experimental art aesthetics, they emerged as part of the early 80s UK Industrial scene alongside contemporaries Test Department, Coil, Legendary Pink dots, In The Nursery, and Portion Control. The band has toured all Europe and North America, Mexico and Asia, appeared at major festivals and had their music included on a number of film soundtracks.
As a gift to fans, the In Dark Dreams: 1980 – 2015 best of collection is available for free via Bandcamp at ‘name your price’ for the next 5 days.
