The Mission are set to return with their first studio album in over a decade.

Wayne Hussey and The Mission have announced Songs For Kith And Kin, a new 15-track album scheduled for release on April 2, 2027 via Cooking Vinyl.
The album marks the band’s first full-length studio release since 2016’s Another Fall From Grace and sees Hussey reunited with fellow Mission veterans Simon Hinkler and Craig Adams, alongside drummer Alex Baum.
The first single, ‘Kindness Is A Weapon’, offers an early glimpse of the new material, blending the band’s trademark guitar-driven sound with anthemic melodies and thoughtful lyrical themes.
The record also promises to be a deeply personal statement. Following open-heart surgery and a lengthy recovery, Hussey has drawn on his experiences to explore themes of health, resilience, friendship, love and the importance of home. Recorded in Uruguay, the album also incorporates orchestral elements and additional instrumentation, suggesting a broader musical palette.
With 15 tracks, including ‘Kith And Kin’, ‘Operation Chaos’, ‘Diving For Pearls’, ‘Sanctuary’ and ‘The Last Leaf On The Tree’, the new release looks set to be an important addition to The Mission’s considerable catalogue.
After ten years without a new studio album, Songs For Kith And Kin is certainly one for fans of gothic rock to look forward to.
