Balvanera – Sintagma

Balvanera – Sintagma

There is something beautifully unsettling in the machinery of Balvanera. On “Sintagma,” the Buenos Aires duo carve out a space where cold electronics, primitive EBM rhythms and Agustina Vizcarra’s hypnotic Spanish vocals become something both physical and dreamlike.

Taken from their forthcoming album Hasta tocar el fondo vacío del lenguaje, “Sintagma” hints at a record immersed in absence, grief, death and the fragile boundaries of language. The title—Until Touching the Empty Bottom of Language—sets the tone: stark, poetic and deliberately elusive.

Across twelve tracks, Balvanera turn repetition and tension into a language of their own, balancing the austerity of minimal electronics with an emotional darkness that never fully reveals itself. “Sintagma” is another glimpse into that shadowy world.

Hasta tocar el fondo vacío del lenguaje arrives October 1, 2026 via DKA Records and Avant! Records.
