Local Suicide & Skelesys – Submission

Local Suicide & Skelesys - SubmissionBerlin-based Greek German duo Local Suicide have unveiled the official video for “Submission”, their latest collaboration with Argentinian producer Skelesys. Taken from their recent Houdini EP on Iptamenos Discos, the track finds the duo at their most uncompromising, channeling dark club energy into a stark audiovisual statement.

Edited by Florida-based video artist Mikayla Smith and shot in Berlin by Lukas Potiomkinas and Victoriia Inozemtseva, the video leans into raw, DIY aesthetics. It features three dancers – Maristela D’Avila, Olivia Keto-Tokoi and Jessica Boyle – alongside Local Suicide’s Vamparela. Hypnotic movement, fractured light and bouncing colour reflections mirror the track’s driving low end and distorted vocal mantras, translating its central message – “Resistance, no submission” – into a physical, almost ritualistic performance. The result feels intimate and confrontational at once, blurring the line between underground club culture and performance art.

“Submission” is one of the defining moments on Houdini. The EP pushes Local Suicide’s technodisco roots into heavier, more shadowed territory, pairing brooding basslines and industrial textures with a clear sense of urgency. Alongside the original tracks, the record features reworks from French electroclash legend David Carretta and Greek EBM artist Alpha Sect, expanding the EP’s emotional and sonic range.
