New York’s original gothic and post-punk festival, A Murder of Crows (AMOC), returns on Labor Day weekend (US), September 4-5, 2026, plus a very special opening party at TV Eye on September 3, 2026. The festival returns to the grand, 600-capacity, Bowery Ballroom in New York’s Lower East Side. A Murder of Crows festival is two nights of domestic and international gothic and post-punk music, bringing together a blend of established artists and rising stars in the alternative music scene. The festival celebrates its 11th anniversary in 2026.
Thursday
The event starts with a pre-party at TV Eye in Queens, featuring live performances from the Midwest’s Wingtips and NY supergroup Grimly Fiendish and 12 of the best goth DJs from across North America, followed by two days of bands from across the United States, Canada and Germany.
Friday
Friday’s lineup features legendary German headliner as well as acts from around the US featuring Guilty Strangers (CA-US), NYX Division (OR-US), Creux Lies (CA-US) and Rosegarden Funeral Party (TX-US) with Anja Huwe (XMAL Deutschland) from Germany headlining.
Saturday
The second main night of the festival brings various bands from across North America to New York’s Bowery Ballroom stage, with Modele (ON-CAN), Entertainment (GA-US), Tragic Black (UT-US), Blacklist (NY-US) and deathrock legends Kommunity FK (CA-US) from California headlining.
In addition to the three-day festival passes, single day tickets for Friday and Saturday night are now on sale.
A Murder of Crows is the dark child of Sean Templar, NYC promoter, DJ, and presenter of goth club nights, The Red Party and Underworld. Attending the international Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT) festival in Leipzig, Germany with Dave Bats from Los Angeles and Martin Oldgoth from London, the nebula of a smaller version of WGT, dedicated to goth and post-punk music, came to them in the early hours of one of WGT’s afterparties. That idea became A Murder of Crows, which launched as a one-day event in 2015 with three bands at the Mercury Lounge and four DJs. Over the years, the festival expanded to two days in 2016 and added a closing 12-hour live stream on Twitch in 2021, featuring the festival DJs, finally adding an opening party in 2023.
A Murder of Crows returns for its eleventh incarnation in 2026. Templar says, “A Murder of Crows 2026 was just perfect. The love in the room was incredible and the bands and DJs were all amazing, bringing their best. We can’t wait to see all our people together again for an amazing weekend of music, celebrating our scene.”
