Mesh – The Truth Doesn’t Matter

Mesh - The Truth Doesn't MatterToday, UK alternative electronic mainstays Mesh return with their latest full-length, The Truth Doesn’t Matter—a record that reaffirms their status as one of the genre’s most enduring forces. Already, the album has secured “Album of the Month” honors from leading German publications Sonic Seducer and Orkus, with the former declaring, “Mesh are and remain the measure of all things.”

There’s a sense of momentum baked into The Truth Doesn’t Matter—it unfolds with the energy of a slow-burning firework, threading together echoes of electronic music’s past and present. Touchstones range from pioneers like Giorgio Moroder, Yazoo, and Depeche Mode to later genre-shapers such as Garbage and Massive Attack. Yet the album never drifts into homage; instead, it reinforces Mesh’s unmistakable sonic identity—one they’ve been refining since the early ’90s.

Formed in 1991 by vocalist/guitarist Mark Hockings and keyboardist/vocalist Richard Silverthorn, Mesh has long thrived on the creative chemistry between its two founding members. That partnership remains the backbone of their sound, carrying through to this latest release.

The Truth Doesn’t Matter is out now via Dependent Records, available across all major streaming platforms, as well as on CD and a limited gatefold double-LP vinyl edition.
